  Lovely place to stay and eat. The rooms are charming, with simple colonial furniture and rugs and fresh, clean colors, while the bathrooms are modern and comfortable. Our mattress looked a little saggy but was actually quite comfortable. The building is located right by the Turnpike and Route 30, so our hostess showed us where to find complementary earplugs in case the road noise bothered us, but it was a low buzz that didn't interfere with my sleep. We ate in the tavern by a roaring fire. The fare is very traditional--the cream of mushroom soup was the thick kind you can almost eat with a fork--but it was very good. They have bison burgers from a bison farm down the road--can't get more local than that! The PA beer selection on tap is good, too, and the place was hopping with locals on the day after Christmas.

  Wonderful and charming historic building. Feels like stepping back in time. Very good food and diverse menu. We went with a group of 20+. Made reservations, they were very accommodating and the service was excellent, even though the place was packed. Also had great gift shop and is close to the turnpike and major routes. Will definitely go again when in the area.

  The restaurant has a very good feeling atmosphere, and my whole family loved their food. I guess I just chose the wrong dish. The food I ordered was okay but that's it. However, I tasted my family's food and it all was amazing.
